Manage Your Dental Anxiety To Bring Back Your Smile

Dental Implants in Wellesley, MA at Tocci Dental Associates | Dr. Jeff Tocci

Too often people take their teeth for granted.

Until you have a cracked or broken tooth, you may not realize how important each tooth is for your smile. Until you lose some teeth, you may not understand how essential they are for eating.

And if you don’t fix those issues, you could be putting the rest of your teeth at risk.

Knowing that you should fix your teeth is one thing, but it’s often easier said than done. Millions of people with missing, broken, or infected teeth will put off the care they need due to dental anxiety.

Tocci Dental Associates can make this easier for you. We have helped countless patients in and around Wellesley, MA find a way to manage their fear of the dentist.

We also have the services and the skills to repair your teeth and to restore their function and your smile.

To learn more, start by calling (781) 304-8172 to schedule a consultation with Dr. Jeffrey Tocci today!

We Can Help You Deal with Dental Anxiety

Before we can fix your tooth or replace your missing teeth, we first have to give you a reason to visit us. We want you to feel calm and relaxed, so you are able to get the restorative care that you need.

We take a comprehensive approach to patient care. Your mental and emotional comfort is as important to us as your dental health.

This starts with the compassion you will experience from our team of dental professionals. We want to know about any concerns you may have. By listening, we can find out why you are anxious about dental care and structure your treatment in a way that helps you feel comfortable.

This includes your physical comfort as well. We offer a selection of drinks for our patients. We have iPods you can borrow to listen to music. We also have massage chairs and offer aromatherapy to help put your body and your mind at ease.

We also know that some patients will need more than that before they are ready to sit in a dental chair. If you are one of them, we also offer sedation dentistry.

For many patients, inhaled sedation (a.k.a. laughing gas) is just what the doctor ordered. As you breathe in the gas, you will notice a calming sensation come over you. As an added benefit, the laughing gas will block any pain, so you can feel at ease during your treatment.

You Deserve a Great Smile

When you are ready, we can begin the work of rebuilding your smile.

As we noted above, our restorative services can help you repair teeth that need fixing and replacing teeth that are no longer there.

If you have a broken, cracked, or decayed tooth, a dental crown is your best bet. To do this, the first step is reshaping the damaged tooth. By doing this, we create an abutment, which will be used to support your crown.

Since we use CEREC crowns, we can design, create, and place it on your tooth in a matter of a few hours. Without CEREC, you might have to wear a temporary crown for weeks before a dental lab designs a crown and ships it to the dentist for you.

CEREC crowns are made with durable, but natural-looking porcelain, so your tooth will look as good or better than it did before.

Crowns also are the final step in a root canal treatment for someone who has an infected tooth. With sedation, you can have a pain-free root canal procedure to remove the infected tissue, end your pain, and restore the function of your tooth as well.

If you are missing a tooth or teeth, we recommend our Same-Day Smile procedure. Through this process, Dr. Tocci can place a dental implant or implants in your mouth. These are essentially replacements for the roots of your missing teeth. They can be used to support dental crowns, bridges, or dentures, so you can have a beautiful smile and keep your ability to eat the foods that you love.
