You need to get your kids up for school. While (you hope) they are getting dressed, you scramble to make them some breakfast before they catch the bus.
In the meantime, you’ve got to get yourself ready for work, so you can get on the road before traffic gets too bad.
Later, between baseball and dance practices, you need to get the grocery store and … find time to make it to the dentist.
Woah! Take a breath.
Our team at Tocci Dental Associates knows that every parent is busy. That’s why we try to make dental care as simple as it can be for families in and around Wellesley, MA.
We are open early (7 a.m.) four days a week and stay open late (7 p.m.) three nights per week. We want to find a time that works with your schedule, and we can treat every member of your family in one convenient location.

Good Dental Health Should Start Early
When should you bring your child to the dentist? According to the American Dental Association, you can schedule your first child’s dental visit when his or her first tooth erupts or no later than his or her first birthday.
We know that for young children, that first visit to the dentist may seem scary or exciting, depending on the child. Either way, this is an important milestone for him or her, and we want this to be a special experience for your little one.
Before we do anything, we will be glad to give you and your child a mini-tour of our office. We have televisions, games, toys, and headphones, so they can feel more at home, too. We want to help them get used to our office since we feel confident you will want to keep coming back to see us.
Our goal during this first visit is to provide as much care as we can without forcing your son or daughter to do anything they aren’t ready for. If we can do a cleaning, great. If your child isn’t ready for that, that’s OK, too. The main thing is to help him or her understand that our team is here to help.
If your child feels comfortable, this will help prevent dental anxiety as he or she gets older.
Prevention is the Best Approach
You don’t want your kids to have cavities. You don’t want your kids to have toothaches, and you certainly don’t want your kids to suffer dental injuries.
The best way to do that is with preventive dental care.
At home, this means brushing and flossing your kids’ teeth when they are young. As they get older, you can teach them to brush and floss on their own. (If you brush and floss with them, that can help them learn good habits that they can continue as they get older.)
You also should schedule regular dental cleanings and exams. We recommend visiting us twice a year. This gives our dental professionals a chance to give you and your kids a thorough cleaning and to examine your mouths for any signs of tooth decay or gum disease.
Cleanings can remove plaque and tartar buildup, which can lead to cavities and gum infections. If someone in your family is already dealing with these problems, we are more likely to catch them in the early stages (when they are easier to treat) if you make routine dental visits a priority.
If you have any athletes in your family, ask about getting custom-fitted mouthguards as well. Our mouthguards are smaller, more comfortable, and provide better protection than the mouthguards you’ll find in stores.
Keep Your Family Happy & Healthy
In the hustle and bustle of being a working parent, it can be hard to juggle everything you need to do. We can’t fix every problem you may face, but our team at Tocci Dental Associates can make dental care simpler for you and your family.
